2020 has been a wonderful year for Girl Friday.
I've had the pleasure of working with some amazing people and undertaking the widest range of tasks since I started my business back in 2014.
To say that my role as a Virtual Assistant is diverse, would definitely be an understatement but as another year comes to an end, I would like to take this opportunity to show my gratitude for the wonderful experiences that 2020 has brought to me.
Clients
Firstly, to all of my clients, old and new, I thank each and every one of you for the challenges you have presented me with and for trusting me with the various areas of your business and/or personal lives. It has truly been a pleasure to work with all of you, however large or small the projects were.
Nearly Clients
To all the people who got in touch with me but I was unable to assist, I hope that I managed to point you in the right direction.
Projects
From setting up home offices and organising paperwork, from typing non-stop for seven hours to proofreading all manner of documents, booking tickets, flights, meetings, ski lessons, restaurants, venues and after dinner speakers, booking appointments for dentists, doctors, pest control and vets, managing diaries and ordering groceries, researching and purchasing items for business and home, sourcing tradesmen of all descriptions, assisting with insurance policies for home, car, health and travel, switching utilities, paying bills, getting quotes... you name it and I've probably done it this year.
Fellow Virtual Assistants
Anyone who runs their own business, knows how tricky it can be to set up on your own. You have to wear all the hats: MD, Marketing, Accounts, IT, HR, Customer Service, Purchasing and everything in between. I have benefitted greatly from various groups of like-minded people within societies and associations for Virtual Assistants plus I've had the pleasure of learning from other ladies working in similar roles. All extremely valuable from day one to present day.
Friends & Family
I have the best set of friends and family that a girl could wish for. The support I have received since starting Girl Friday has been truly amazing. There were those who 'employed' me in the early days to get the ball rolling with my new venture and those who have continued to do so. There are those who have warmed my heart by continually liking and sharing my blog posts and also a group of people who believed that I would succeed in my endeavours even when things were slow. And finally, there are a special select few who fit into each and every one of the above categories. You all know who you are and I can't thank you enough.
Enough gushing from me! All that remains is for me to pass on my heartfelt thanks for such a wonderful year and to wish everyone a very Happy Christmas and Prosperous New Year.
